Abstract |
The novel stress-induced cardiomyopathy, mimicking acute myocardial infarction, has recently been reported. We experienced a case of novel cardiomyopathy with recurrent episodes following emotional stress. We reported on this novel cardiomyopathy showing transient left mid-ventricular wall motion abnormality following emotional stress. Our case exhibited an acute onset, transient left mid-ventricular wall motion abnormality with chest pain, electrocardiographic changes and minimal enzyme release, which mimicked acute myocardial infarction without stenosis on the coronary angiogram. Wall motion abnormality and clinical outcome was rapidly improved within a few weeks.(Korean J Med 69:S812-S817, 2005) |
