Abstract
While nephrotoxicity and hypertension are the most common complications of cyclosporine use, 25~59% of transplant patients have also experienced cyclosporine induced neurotoxicity. However, the mechanism of cyclosporine-induced cortical blindness and coma remain poorly understood. The neurotoxicity usually improves when the use of cyclosporine is reduced or discontinued. However, irreversible results have been reported on rare occasion. We report here on a case of cyclosporine-induced blindness and coma after allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.(Korean J Med 72:S284-S288, 2007) Key Words : Cyclosporine, Neurotoxicity, Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation
