- Abstract
- A case of acute renal failure due to lipoma-induced intussusception Adult-onset intussusception comprises 5% of total intussusception and 90% of adult-onset intussusception develops from a secondary origin. It presents with a variety of acute, intermittent, and chronic symptoms, thus making its preoperative diagnosis difficult. However acute renal failure rarely develops in adults.Here we report a case of acute renal failure that developed in a 53 year old male patient who had intussusception in the small bowel. A 3 cm 3 cm sized lipoma was found 50 cm downward from the Treitz ligaments(Korean J Med 72:S276-S278, 2007)
